Dr. Fusco is an amazing individual!
He has so many interests outside his medical profession that makes him relate to his patients well. At one time before all the healthcare laws and such...many years ago...he did his on blood draws, iv starts and anything else that needed done. I actually prefer him over anyone else to do these things. But that is not the way the healthcare laws work these days.
His knowledge & professionalism is 2nd to none!! He has been my GI specialist for 31 years. He always has time to listen and explain things. He has always been on the cutting edge of technology and computer savvy. Back in the early 1990's he gave me a video of my colonoscopy! He is always available via email as he as been for many years. It is nice to know that if you have a concern he will respond and let you know what to do.
He tries to treat you as he would his family. He prefers to use the least compromising drugs that are effective. Not once has he ever mentioned surgery for UC. With his compassion and knowledge he has kept me healthy for the better part of 31 years. I have only been hospitalized 1 for actual UC symptoms and that was 30 years ago.
His in office staff is great. They will go the extra mile to get you an answer as quick as possible.
They take many insurances...so most likely yours too.
If you are in the Pittsburgh area...Dr. Fusco is a wonderful GI for UC or any gastric issues you may have or think you have.
