Disclosures

This blog, and any and all related emails associated with this website, including any email newsletter etc… is not primarily financially driven. I started it in 2010 to build a community and learn from everyone with ulcerative colitis.

That said, beginning December 1, 2009, the FTC requires bloggers to provide disclosures whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations.

First off, I am not a doctor, just a patient who has ulcerative colitis.  I was diagnosed with the disease in October of 2008 shortly after getting married.

Second, the less obvious: Per the FTC rules, if I use an Amazon link that gets me 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents, you need to know about that.  The same is true as I may receive 10 cents for recommending a certain product of some other nature on this website.  So, let this page hold as the over-riding Disclaimer for the entire website.

To make disclaimers each and every time a book on Amazon is mentioned would take way too much time to manage so this will serve the purpose of that, and it will please the FTC.

Please simply assume that, for every recommendation, link, and product I use or place a link to, some form of compensation to me may exist.

Thanks, and now you are officially disclosed.
