JUST A FEW WEEKS AGO I may have set myself up to be laughed at by a whole bunch of you, but what the hell, we all need a laugh sometimes right?
For anyone who’s brand new here, we are in the middle of the 2nd Annual Colitis Folks Pull Up Challenge, and there’s a chance that a whole bunch of us are going to get our butts kicked pretty hard. But I’m still hoping that Johnny Drama, Trent, Ben or Mylene are going to pull through hardcore and scare the crap out of our freak show-trash talking-j-pouch wearing boy Blake.
Now let’s take a moment and check Blake out just a little bit closer. First off, he doesn’t have a colon anymore. BUT, a year ago he did have one. That’s right, Blake is a dude who was all jacked up with severe UC symptoms like a whole bunch of UC’ers and he went through with having several surgeries and an eventual j-pouch (which is the 2012 version of a remodeled colon). And if you are one of those thinking that there’s no life post surgery, well, I got some news for you….YOU BE WRONG AMIGOS. (Of course I definitely think Blake is cheating since he doesn’t need to pull up a colon like the rest of us, but we’ll have to let that slide I guess…)
We’re still waiting for some others to post up some videos, and there is going to be a prize for the winner, courtesy of the good folks who support the iHaveUC site, and so far, I’m not sure if I’ll be buying myself any presents this year…
Here’s a couple videos from Blake busting out some serious Pull Ups, and a one below of me trying to get a workout on mid-day in SF (in my usual workout gear…)

Take care everyone, and if you have any pullup tips, hook a UC’er up,
-Adam
I started site shortly after being diagnosed in October of 2008 with severe pancolitis (when my whole colon was inflamed).
For me, it was a very rough start with severe symptoms. Getting bounced from medication to medication was not easy or too helpful. But, I did meet another UC’er, changes several parts of my diet, and of course the rest is history.
