This is an pdate to my previous story: “Finally I Feel LIke I Really Have Ulcerative Colitis from Sept. 7th, 2011”
Last week I had a biopsy, which today I discovered showed signs of severe colitis, and a CMV infection(Cytomegalovirus (CMV) and Congenital CMV Infection). Has anyone had any experience with CMV colitis (this is what my doctor referred to it as)? Today I was emitted to the hospital to under go treatment. However, I am still unsure exactly what type of treatment that this is going to involve. Yesterday I had my PPD skin test administered, and it is going to be read tomorrow; which will likely result in a Remicade treatment. So far all they have done today is taken blood for testing and hooked me up to an IV.
