Optimistic Ulcerative Colitis Mother

I was diagnosed with very mild ulcerative colitis 15 years ago and have had very mild and easily treated flare ups until last summer when my daughter got sick and was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease, I had a terrible flare with all the stress of my daughter being sick, doctor thought I might have to have my bowel removed but I eventually went into remission. It took me months to come to terms with it all but I’m doing well, on Remicade and Mesevant, I am wondering if anyone is on the scd diet and finding it any good?  I intend to stay on it long term as I really do think it is diet related. My doctor mentioned the Foodmap diet as it is proven to be helpful for irritable bowel and it is supposed to be helpful for ibd.
