Oregano for Ulcerative Colitis

I have posted on here before but had some information which seemed necessary to share.
I saw an eminent GI specialist here in Sydney who is pretty well known for considering alternatives to mainstream treatments.
He told be of a patient they had with severe UC and on heavy treatment who got remission and is now completely off of all drugs. His GP has confirmed this.
Simply this patient had in-laws staying and when he explained to them his condition they said they would treat that in their own Country with fresh oregano. So the patient takes a good bunch/handful of MUST be fresh Oregano everyday. He disliked the taste so blends it with fresh orange juice. I am trying it and think it might be helping but don’t want to make any claims as its too early to say.
So not sure if it ever could be that simple but if it helps one person thought it worth a post.
