Once I was diagnosed with UC, I knew that there was something that needed to be done with my diet.
I mean it was only common sense to know that you are what you eat. So I stopped eating meat, ate more vegetables, fruits, grains, and gluten free, wheat free products. At first it worked amazingly and I went into remission, along with several medications. Almost five years later, I rarely eat chicken, can tolerate fish once a week, but have not eaten red meat. I stay away from sugar, wheat, and dairy, but eat them on ocassion. It is obvious that when I eat such foods I do not feel as well as when I don’t eat them.
I would recommend trying to see what your body can and cannot handle and go from there.

All of the posts from “Annonymous UC” are from ulcerative colitis people who anonymously submitted stories or Doctor Reviews, medication, supplement reviews etc… I post all these stories to the site, but they’re different from my own personal stories so hopefully this account makes more sense:) -Adam – founder of iHaveUC.com
