Doctor Pathmakanthan is very friendly, extremely polite and well mannered. He listens carefully to what patients have to say and answers questions in an easy to understand manner. He thoroughly explains all treatment options, whether surgical or medical and gives all pros and cons. He also explains the different medications – exactly why he is prescribing certain things and how they work on the gut, how to use then correctly, and what side effects could be associated with them. He takes notice of possible extra-intestinal manifestations and is always prepared to refer to another specialist eg rheumatology.
Overall an excellent doctor who I would definitely recommend.
