I was diagnosed with UC by Dr. Seeman, who I did not like at all. He did not want to take the time to answer the various questions I had upon receiving this diagnosis. I was referred to Dr. Robert Mitchell III by my OBGYN. I love Dr. Mitchell! He is in practice with his brother, Dr. Richard Mitchell, at Henrico Doctor's Hospital. He is very easy to talk to as he is very laid back and down to earth. He talks to you like a regular person not like he is your superior or an "authority" figure. He has a good sense of humor and isn't uptight!
They have the complete set up and do colonoscopy procedure at their office. The nurses are very friendly and do their best to put you at ease. This really helps to make a not-so-fun, somewhat embarrassing and awkward procedure not so bad after all! If you are looking for a gastroenterologist I highly recommend Dr. Mitchell!
