Dr. Peter Miller – Colon and Rectal Surgeon – Richmond, VA

I was originally diagnosed with UC in downtown richmond at VCU medical center and they told me I needed surgery. I got a second opinion from Dr. Miller and he figured out that I had not been maximized on medical therapy, which ultimately allowed me to avoid a huge surgery! He answered all of my questions and took the time to educate me on nutrition, warning signs, and long term complications of the disease. He and his partners do almost all of the surgery for inflammatory bowel disease in Richmond and their staff is phenomenal from the front desk to the nurses in clinic!! Also had a colonoscopy in their OR suite, loved their staff who calmed my nerves - very genuine people! I would strongly recommend him to anyone that has complications of UC that need a surgical evaluation.
