I might just be an exception to the previous review. Though I can't recommend Dr De La Pena. Very strict with Pred, extremely quick to recommend hospital admittance and to be honest, just doesn't seem to listen to what the patient is saying.
Every visit has had an hour delay, response to phone calls is slow, actually refused to give me a refill for my anti nausea pills I've used for years with great results......as he doesn't like them - ignored my heart issues and gave me pills that gave me palpitations.
As i said, might be just me, though i will be looking for a new GI once this flare eases.
Amazing bedside manner. Great listener. Nurses are amazing and always respond quickly to phone calls.
Tough to get appointments. He is extremely popular. Used by many medical personnel who also speak highly of him.
Colonoscopy and endoscopy were a piece of cake! Uses all the latest technology and explained all the results in complete detail with immediate course of action for medications and follow up visits. Extremely thorough watching for complications. Main concern is helping his patient reach a comfortable state and remission.
I can't imagine being in anyone else's hands! I would highly recommend Dr De La Pena and his entire practice.
