I would never refer anyone to him. I took my 80 year old mother to him and he told us that she had a leaky valve in her stomach and there was nothing he could do. Well 5 years later after years of diarrhea she almost died because all of her nutrients were going out and ended up in the stillwater hospital. That is where a on call doctor saved her life, as simple as telling us to try a drug that was used to stop diarrhea.Thanks to that Doctor she is now 90 years old and doing great!

Dr Scott is the best GI doctor I have ever had. I have had UC for almost twenty years and I have seen three GI doctors and two MDs for my condition in that time period. I have been a patient of Dr Scott for about 12 years, my symptoms have improved dramatically. His staff is very good but small one person in his office. Sometimes it will take 24-48 hours to recieve treatment but you will talk to a live person usually the same day. Dr Scott is a genuine person he cares about his patients deeply. He has a great bedside manner and makes you feel very comfortable about uncomfortable topics. He listens well and if you experience a treatment that works well he will listen and prescribe it again. He will not be happy until you are almost symptom free! I have long bouts with flares and we have found a plan that helps them to improve quickly and gets me off predinsone as quickly as possible. He accepts most insurance I have Blue Cross now and he accepted my state insurance previously. He has treated many UC patients and Chrons patients as well as other GI issues. I feel better than I have at any time since my diagnoses, mostly due to his treatments.
