Comments About the Doctor:
My original visit was with a GI within a medical group in which I’m enrolled. I was unhappy with him & Dr. Milan (father to Indraneel) was referred to me as a 2nd opinion.
I was admitted to a local hospital with severe bleeding, etc. A consult was done by “Neel” (son). His communication skills are good; he answered questions before I asked. His treatment was aggressive. Milan, his father, has 30 years experience, however, I believe Neel’s knowledge base & education are more current. He has priviledges at Hemet Valley Hospital. I do not know if he has priviledges at Loma Linda (a far superior hospital) located in Muriettea & Loma Linda, CA). His personality was pleasant, non-confrontational. I have not spent enough time with him to know how this will evolve. He seems to be open to the patient at times of stress. As for the office staff of the father/son practicie, they are harried, as are most front office staff; they try. I don’t know what percentage of his overall practice consists of UC, CD or similar diagnoses. As regards insurance, both father & son are well known in the community & likely take a fair number of insurance plans.
I would recommend him.
I like Dr. Neel Chakrabarty but his office staff in Temecula are totally incompetent. Every time I have contact with them, it is the same thing. I ask them for a refill for a prescription and they stated they never prescribed it but it is the generic for Previcid, which they did prescribe The Hemet office seems much better. I will no longer deal with the Temecula office, just to much incompetency.
Unfortunately, he is no longer in my health plan & I’m not very happy with my alternatives. I don’t think there is another GI in the Hemet area I would recommend.
