This is the guy to go to if you need a j-pouch. He’s extremely professional, confident in his skills, and knowledgeable. Although not super warm and fuzzy, he’s the absolute best. He takes time to explain everything about what is going on to his patients and patients’ families. Dr. Remzi drew my husband a huge diagram of my intestines that he still refers to when we talk about my gut issues. He has done thousands of Jpouches, and innovated doing jpouch surgery laproscopically. Why I chose him:
– I was referred to him by a number of different sources
– I know two people who had jpouch surgery years ago, and they are extremely happy with theirs
– He is world-renowed
– His staff (ostomy nurses, nurse practitioners, fellows, office staff) are all extremely caring, professional, and knowledgeable about IBDs.
