Warning for anyone planning to see him

Dec 18, 2016 by Sue
City/country:: Houston, Texas

I was referred to this doctor by my GI doc in the hospital, and even she is embarrassed by the experience. He is terrible. My parents and I waited 3 hours in the waiting room for the appointment with Dr Haas, then 30 minutes in a cramped exam room for a stranger with an attitude to introduce himself as his partner and roughly examine me. I was told to get dressed and ushered into Dr Haas's empty office, where I waited another 30 minutes. I thought the staff forgot I was there. I went into the office across the hallway to ask about timing, and Dr Haas was sitting in there eating. The office manager pushed me back into his office and said he'd be right in. He was not. Another hour. I could hear him talking and laughing across the hall while I waited. I wanted to leave, but my folks said we had waited this long, may as well wait. I'm sorry we did. He finally came in without apology. Overly fake friendly, condescending voice, lied and said he heard all about me, but knew nothing. Asked me the same questions I already answered and keep cutting me off to tell me how famous he is. Maybe in his own mind. I felt pressured to schedule surgery by him, and when we went to the scheduler, they had already left for the day. I was told by the office manager they would call me, but weeks later have not. I will be going to elsewhere to see of Dr. Haas's partners that left his practice. Warning for anyone planning to see him. Do not recommend the experience. Pompous man
