All of the posts from “Annonymous UC” are from ulcerative colitis people who anonymously submitted stories or Doctor Reviews, medication, supplement reviews etc… I post all these stories to the site, but they’re different from my own personal stories so hopefully this account makes more sense:) -Adam – founder of iHaveUC.com

I need to add my input here as my son and I did not find Dr. Rubin and his staff very professional. It was one of our darkest days with our sons UC. We were there forever, got passed around, had to tell his story numerous times, no one really wanted to deal with us. In the end some staff person said we can write you a prescription for asacol! He had tried it 3 other times and made the symptoms worse. We did not know Chicago at all, I remember walking out the door at 5:30 pm during rush hour traffic feeling totally lost. We drove hours home in a fog, took exits we shouldn't have for him to find a bathroom. Would not recommend this doctor to my least favorite person.
Dr. Rubin is just the best! He is so easy to talk to, whether it is in his office, phone (I even have his cell number just in case), or email, he takes the time to get back to you right away, and answers all your questions until you feel safe, and sure.
We have BCBS and have had no issues at all with payments. The hospital even has a financial aid program to help make the payments easier to handle.. Also, if you are having a hard time in getting your medications, you can ask the office, and they will be happy to share some samples with you.
I just can't stress on how great Dr. Rubin and his team is!
