Despite a faxed referral. Staff refused me an appointment. I have to receive PERMISSION from the President of the USA and GOD and not a another doctor. People can die and not see a doctor, that is their attitude
Dr. Stone was an ok dr. I never experienced any pain after procedures but his bedside manner is lacking. Apparently I metabolize medications extremely quickly and he was quite rude when telling me that I must not be taking the meds since they were not showing up in my system. He also seemed to be unprofessional to me. The day of my scope I came in at 0900 for a 1200 scope. I know that doctors can run a little behind, and I've always felt it's just a common courtesy to have one of your nurses notify patients when procedures are running an hour or so behind schedule. Instead he had me sitting there gowned and waiting for hours. At one point I asked to speak with the nurse and expressed my frustration because we all know the prep for scopes is no fun and leaves you feeling hungry. Half of my meds are to be taken on an empty stomach but food is required or I feel ill. I explained this to the nurse and she told Dr. Stone. He came my curta ined area and said I can either wait or reschedule. I waited obviously as I had already prepped but he was terribly rude about it. He had also taken personal calls on his mobile in the exam room while I was sitting there. He answered the phone spoke briefly the. Proceeded to tell me it was his wife. Now when I have a 15 minute appointment with you and you spend 1/3 of the time on the phone with your wife I see that as unprofessional. Getting an appointment was easy but actually talking to the Dr was not.
