Very friendly, good bedside manner. Older gentleman, lots of experience, "old school" but open to discussing newer ideas. Surgeon, but has been around since the days where surgeons were the doctors that treated colitis, not gastroenterologists. I have not had surgery, so i cannot vouch for his surgical skills, but i feel comfortable with him acting as my gastro. He is easy to talk to, pragmatic, and gentle - I had a quick scope to check on presence of ulcers without any meds and he made it easy to get through.
The office staff is ok, I've seen better and I've seen worse.
The office accepts the same insurance as Stamford Hospital, where the dr is on staff.
This dr does not email (hospital advises against email), and is often in surgery, but he does his best to respond by telephone in a timely manner. He also offers telephone appointments for simple follow ups or questions.
