Dr. Gonzales is a very down to earth, give it to you straight type of personality. He is extremely knowledgeable in his profession. His staff is very courteous, professional, and easy to work with. Dr. Gonzales is a very good listener and will go above and beyond if you are in serious need to be seen. (He has called me back at 9:00 at night from his office, came and met me at his office on his non-clinic days, etc.) A typical visit consists of a very short wait time, your seen by his medical assistant who takes your vitals, updates your current medication, and asks if you are experiencing any new symptoms. Dr. Gonzales then comes in goes over your chart with you. He will go over your history with your disease (Ulcerative Colitis for me), go over past treatment, the current treatment, and how you are feeling. He then does a physical exam. If any tests are needed he has his office staff set those up for you before you leave the office. I have never ha d a problem with insurance. He takes Blue Cross Blue Shield, Altius, Aetna, Cigna, Coventry, Great West Healthcare PPO, HealthNet, Humana, Medicaid, Medicare, Molina, Multiplan PHCS & PPO, Pacificare, United Health Care, Value Care, and Well Point.
