I was referred to Dr. Pinto by my primary-care physician because of my bleeding and cramps. My first meeting with Dr. Pinto was for my colonoscopy – he was very pleasant and positive, but after my scope met with me while I was still very confused by the sedation, and he smiled and said “you have Crohn’s disease” and told me he would meet with me about a month later. No information was provided. After my colonoscopy, my symptoms worsened, and I was very confused about my diagnosis. However, Dr. Pinto refused to see me before the scheduled date. I persisted, and the office staff were not very friendly, as I was often put on hold for long times and phone calls were not always returned. FINALLY, he agreed to see me, and literally raised his voice and told me that I would probably have a very serious case where my disease would lead to pan-colitis which could potentially kill me (?!). However, the diagnosis he gave me was MILD crohn’s. I tried to ask him questions about finding information, and he told me to “look on the internet” – that information was abundant. Sadly, I continued to see him, and he would come into the room without reviewing my file or remembering anything about my case. The best thing that ever happened to me was moving and changing doctors so that I could again have hope and actually be educated on my individual case! Dr. Pinto seems very educated, but I give him a big fat “F” on bed-side manner and accessibility to patients!

  1. I can’t even comment on Dr. Pinto because scheduling the appointment was a complete nightmare. The lady I talked to was so rude, I don’t even want to step foot into that office. She made me feel uncomfortable for needing an appointment from the get-go. Furthermore, I asked a very simple question about my diet that she wouldn’t even attempt to answer. Instead, she responded with some sarcastic comment. Clearly, she is not very well educated on anything past typing info into her computer. The second I hung up the phone, I called back to cancel because I was so furious with how she treated me. Absolutely terrible person and terrible first impression as a new patient.

  2. I had a procedure done by Dr Pinto on 7 January 2014. I had a follow up on 28 January 2014. At that time another appointment was scheduled for me at 2:15 pm on 28 March 2014. I just returned form Dr Pinto’s office. His receptionist did NOT show me as scheduled to see the doctor today. I came back home and checked my calendar. Sure enough, there was the appointment card that they had given me on 28 January saying that I had an appointment on 28 March (today) at 2:15.
That is not a professionally run operation if you can’t even keep track of appointments.

  3. I was very nervous going into my appointment after reading these comments; however, after going in myself I was very pleased with the service I received. The receptionist was very sweet to me and helpful when I had a problem with my insurance card. The nurse that checked in with me before the doctor came in was also very sweet and chatty– which I love. Dr. Pinto himself was also extremely pleasant and personable. He made sure to take time to explain my condition and he would repeat the important information and then asked several times if I had any more questions. The check out process was also very quick and simple. My appt was at 8:30a and I was out of there in less than an hour– including a blood draw after the appointment.
Honestly, this is one of the most positive experiences I’ve ever had. I would highly recommend him.

  4. Dr. Pinto has been very helpful and I find him to be extremely knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. My experiences with him and his office have been very good and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. If you have a difficult time getting along with Dr. Pinto I think you need to have a serious look at how you present yourself as a patient. He is a superstar in my book.
