Common Ulcerative Colitis Drugs

Non exhaustive list of synonyms for common names of drugs prescribed to treat UC:

•Pentasa = Mesalamine, Aminosalicylate, 5-Aminosalicylic Acid, 5 ASA, Asacol
• Azathioprine = Imuran
• Prednisone = Orasone, Deltasone, Liquid Pred, Meticorten
• Remicade = Infliximab

• Mercaptopurine (also called 6-mercaptopurine, 6-MP or its brand name Purinethol) is an immunosuppressive drug. I am using this right now, instead of Imuran.
