Are you eating beans? If so, try cutting them out.

But mostly, if you’re eating bread, I’d try removing that and all grains for a while to see how you do.
      Good luck Larry

I agree with Adam. If you are having problems with gas, remove bread from your diet for a week or two. I tried this and realized that the gluten in bread was causing a lot of gas and pain. I started to eat bread again and the gas returned. I can have a piece once in awhile without ill effect but not every day or several times a day like I was. I really miss my bread :-( But boy do I feel better when I cut it out.

    Hi Adam, love your site.

I have never commented on this site but have found great support from the comments listed. The reason I have never commented is because the first time I had a UC flare which lasted bout two years was due to an allergic reaction to acne medication, that was is 1998. The second time was due to reaction to mercury toxicity. Flare up lasted a year 2012 to 2013.

What I know now is if you have UC due to allergic reaction the best thing to do is find out what caused the allergic reaction. Detox. Drink apple juice after detoxing. Keep a food, stress, consumption, environment journal.

It is a journey where you really get to know your body and yourself. I reflect on this everyday. My two flare-ups were damn near life threatening, so I’m grateful I made some real hard choices and changed.

    Thanks so much.

Another good one Adam! :-) You always rock…speaking of which, still waiting for another fun musical video!!

P.S. I Was told once you stop remicade…no return because you build up the antibodies so when i took the humira after, since it is basically in the same class, I knew I was allergic/reacting right from the get go!

    Good health all! :-)

    Hii everyone,

So glad to find this useful site. I had surgery for colitis but haven’t gained all the weight I lost. Don’t want to drink Ensure because of it’s GMO ingredients. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks Adam for all you’re doing!!
Keep up the good work :)

Thanks for visiting Diane, and please come back often. Crazy that you post this moment, about two minutes ago I just published the latest survey which is the results from this month’s Probiotics data. Give it a read here:
