Sulfasalazine Reviews

Sulfasalazine (brand name Azulfidine in the U.S., Salazopyrin and Sulazine in Europe and Hong Kong) was developed in the 1950’s specifically to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Sulfasalazine is used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

FYI: Sorbitol and GI Problems

Intro: Diagnosed with severe Ulcerative Pan Colitis in 2012 and severe Ulcerative Proctosigmoiditis in 2013. Also diagnosed with Sjogren’s. Currently drug free and in remission. Thinking about Baby Number 2

Secondly, now that the mild flare has stopped, my husband and I are trying for baby number 2. I got clearance from my Dr at the beginning of October but we’ve waited a while longer until I felt comfortable. I am so excited to give my son a sibling and at the same time terrified of another massive flare either during pregnancy or post-partum. Does anyone know what the likelihood is approximately of experiencing a flare pp?
