Intro:
I was diagnosed with severe UC in June 2011. Remicade seems to be the only thing that really works. Not in remission yet, but hopefully close to it!
My Current Question:
I’ve been getting Remicade infusions since July 2011. I was going to the bathroom 5-6 times per day after my first infusion. After my second infusion, I was going to the bathroom 4 times per day. It was like clockwork. I even knew around what times I’d be going. Then I had my third infusion & things got strange. It became totally variable when I’d have to go to the bathroom. I’d go anywhere between 0-6 times per day (the average was 3). Is that normal? Does your body adjust differently? I thought that after each infusion, I’d gradually go down one time per day of having to go to the bathroom.
I just had my fourth infusion on Tuesday. I know it usually takes about a good week for my body to adjust to the medicine, but should I still expect the same thing to continue?
