Dr. Gerrish has a "concierge-style" practice where he specifically caters to patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis, Crohn's Disease, etc.). He is able to spend time to make sure that the disease is being managed/treated properly. He also gives his cell phone and email address to all of his patients. He takes care of his patients in the hospital when they are admitted for a bowel issue.
Dr. Gerrish is a good listener, very professional, and takes the time to analyze your case and care.
The office takes insurance but also charges a concierge fee to keep the practice limited to only IBD/UC patients. For me, the cost is offset by the savings from decreased hospitalizations, time away from work, problems being dealt with swiftly.
