Highly recommended. After my ER trip due to excruciating pain in lower left side, he sat down and got to know me as a person, asking questions about my past, eating habits, aches/pains, etc. He let me talk and asked very specific questions and explained why he asked each one in great detail. He extended the anti-biotics that the ER gave me and then scheduled my colonoscopy for about 6 weeks later, to see if this was just a bad infection or truly Ulcerative Colitis, which it turned out to be. I followed up in 4 weeks as I was not showing progress and he immediately pushed up my colonoscopy. Once the procedure was done, he gave me his initial thoughts that it was Ulcerative colitis and some basic info on IBD, but had me come back to his office one week later to go over the biopsy results. That’s when the true diagnosis and my admiration for this doctor upgraded. He told me all about UC and how it can affect other areas of the body, all of the treatment options, and helped set up appointments for a blood test, bone scan, eye tests, etc. I follow up with him next month and expect more of the same. The doctor is younger, I’d say late 30s early 40s, with no trace of accent. Easy to understand, answers questions clearly. If i have any questions outside of an appointment, I leave them with his staff and get an answer within 24 hours. Again, highly recommended for anyone in the Northern Virginia area. Procedures are done in the Loudoun INOVA Hospital near Lansdowne.
