Dr. Galler has been my Doctor for 7 years now. He performed my 2nd colonoscopy when I was diagnosed 7 years ago. He is very professional, has a calm personality, and is board certified in internal medicine. He truly listens to what I have to say and he is the type of Doctor who will only resort to harsh drugs (ex. prednisone) as a last resort. He really tries to do everything else (ex. enemas, suppositories, etc.) before turning to the harsher drugs as a quick fix. This was one of the main reasons why I initially felt I could trust him. I have called him numerous times for advice on vitamins, other medications, and alternative medication and he is always open to discussing other options. He has helped me learn to manage and control my colitis to the best of my ability and not to rely on drugs to keep me in remission. His mindset is that we will in some way live with colitis for the rest of our lives, so we need to do our part in stayin g healthy. If you disagree with something he suggests, he will listen to your concerns and come to a conclusion with you, as opposed to Doctors who tell you what to do and just push you out the door. He has a great sense of humor, considering his line of work, and even during my flare-ups he will try to make me see the positive, and do everything he can to keep me out of the Hospital. He also has a wonderful nurse, I cannot say enough great things about this duo. She is so helpful with appointments and I never have to wait long for an office visit once I get into the room. Every colonoscopy I have had since first being diagnosed he has done himself. He is very through and will go over the pictures and biopsies with you and explain what it is you’re looking at so you can understand youself. Overall, I am extremely thankful that I was referred to him! I couldn’t ask for a better Doctor and I’ve told him plently of times he can never retire. If you’re looking for a gre at Doctor in Houston/surrounding areas he is located near the Medical Center inside of the main Kelsey Seybold, and I would refer him in a heartbeat!
