I was referred to Dr Safar for surgery. He did all 3 of my surgeries for the 3 part J Pouch. We were very pleased with Dr Safar, he does many colectomy and J Pouch surgeries, so he knows what he’s doing. His office staff was a little unprofessional, they scheduled me for a surgery when Dr Safar was out of town and they didn’t tell me about this until a week before surgery. I was pretty angry, but aside from his staff troubles, I really liked him. He did great work, was fun to talk to. I felt so comfortable with him I would curse and say funny things and he would actually laugh. He has a lot of UC patients and I had no problem with insurance.
