Dr. Zamir is a doctor that really listens to his patients, and treats the person and not the disease. He also is very good at talking and explaining things to the patients and the family. He visits his patients in the hospital and follows up. (He came to see me in the hospital on Christmas day). His nursing staff is very helpful and reliable. They have gone out of their way to fit me in during the day, and even helped me figure out how to pay for my very expensive remicade treatments. I highly recommend him as a GI doctor.

I was referred to Dr Zamir by my family doctor after experiencing rectal bleeding and diarrhea. Because I had a history of polyps, Dr Zamir recommended a colonoscopy even though my most recent colonoscopy was two years ago. After performing the procedure, and removing two benign polyps, he diagnosed my condition as moderate UC and prescribed two medications which immediately eliminated my symptoms. He also explained how my condition could be managed in the future. He is not only a superb diagnostic physician, but he is extraordinarily friendly, comforting and, at the same time, professional. Patients are treated as intelligent individuals deserving of attention and information. His support staff is also excellent; his nurse took my calls after the colonoscopy and briefed me on my condition. She also rescheduled my followup appointment to accommodate my travel plans. Dr Zamir restored not only my health but my confidence and optimism.
