I think you and I are in the exact same boat/book. Good luck to you. I just purchased Breaking the Vicious Cycle: Intestinal Health Through Diet for under 18 bucks including shipping. I hope this is an answer to my UC. At almost 42 yrs of age I've had UC for 1 1/2 years taking Mesalamine and Casana. My Doc is uneducated in diet or alternative options other than the typical pharma or surgery and said that diet is not the cause or the solution. He had no recommendations, yet I find that the World Wide Web has a whole community of people with varying testimonials and recommendations. That is what I am counting on and I will shout it from the mountaintops when I get better.
So glad your out there!

Or are you thinking of Jini's IBD Remission Diet? I think that can also be used along with SCD. I haven't tried Jini's IBD Remission Diet, but one can do that, achieve remission and then go on the SCD.
As for Listen to Your Gut, I use it as a reference for supplements and treating various symptoms. It's packed with useful info and how to guide for specific healing protocols. I understand my disease a lot more after reading it and have a chest full of tools to heal myself in the short and long term.

I’m reading Listen to Your Gut now. Thanks
