Hey Everyone, good evening, hi everybody, my name is Adam, and we have a few videos like this, but I wanted to show you what I’m having for dinner tonight just in case you have what I got which is a disease called Ulcerative Colitis.
I follow a diet, its real basic, nothing crazy, its called SCD Diet
, that stand for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet. And this is what I’m eating tonight, check it out, its a pretty fine looking salad. Look at this thing there, its a hard boiled egg, with a little piece of carrot on it. Some red onions, some little tomatoes, this salad came from Whole Foods market. My wife is having one too. We got some lemon as well that is going on the halibut that is cooking out on the grill with the sausages.
But, I’m really really REALLY excited today, there’s is going to be a new story coming on the website from a girl named Jessica who’s got ulcerative colitis too. It’s an incredible story!
If you are sitting at home right now, running to the restroom, and just staying close to the restroom, this is going to be for you. The restroom I used to go to is right here. It’s my hole, its the place I used to run to and live in for months and months. Still got a book on top of it, Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis.
I want to show you the rest of the dinner tonight too. On the grill we got some spicy Italian Sausage, some Chicken Sausage, and some halibut in the tin foil. We are going to be eating that up tonight. And, let me tell you, I am symptom free. I am actually coming up on my 1 year anniversary of being on the SCD diet here August 11th. I am hoping that for you too, if you are especially not finding a solution with your current medications for your UC, to give it a try.
I know it doesn’t work for everybody, and I know that for a fact. There’s people who follow the website, who have tried the SCD
diet, and it hasn’t worked. And that really pisses me off because I wish it would work well for everybody. That’s the reason why I started this site in the first place. My story still is that one year ago right now, I was about ready to get my colon taken out. One year ago right now I was on massive amounts of steroids actually prednisone. I’d been on the prednisone for almost a year. I’d done Remicade infusions, Humira shots, Asacol, Colazal, sulfasalazine, enemas, that’s right I even tried the enemas. Didn’t work. Went on the diet, Kristine told me about it, she has had UC for ten years, she is symptoms free. She runs marathons now and all that stuff.
But anyways, this young girl Jessica, she is trying the diet right now, and I hope you read her story. It is coming to the website really really soon, I am sure you will enjoy reading it.

I started site shortly after being diagnosed in October of 2008 with severe pancolitis (when my whole colon was inflamed).
For me, it was a very rough start with severe symptoms. Getting bounced from medication to medication was not easy or too helpful. But, I did meet another UC’er, changes several parts of my diet, and of course the rest is history.
