I am 24 years old and have had Ulcerative Colitis since I was 16 years old.
I am in a flare again after giving birth to my son. I have been on Asacol ( and I am still taking that today 12 pills a day) they also have me on Azathioprine and I take 3 of those pills a day. They have put me on steroids on and off over the past years and they help with the flare up but they don’t want me on them anymore. The flare up I am in now just won’t give… bleeding is picking up and not slowing down and my stomach pain is getting pretty bad. I went to see the doctor and they are just saying to keep taking the medicaition and it should stop… hasn’t so far. Been at least 3 months. Let me know if anyone has any other ideas. I go back to the doctor on the 17th and hopefully will get some more help then (will be seeing a new doctor).
